Privacy Policy

How we handle your data — built for attorney confidentiality.

Data Collection

We collect your email address and payment information when you create an account. We do not collect or store the content of your uploaded documents.

Document Handling

Your brief is deleted when the work is done — we do not keep the file, and only the finished report and its metadata remain. Before analysis we strip contact details and identifiers (email addresses, phone numbers, Social Security numbers, street addresses, docket numbers) along with explicit privilege markers, because nothing in a citation check depends on them. We deliberately do not strip party or case names: those are the subject of the analysis, they appear on the public docket, and removing them would make the check less accurate without making you safer. Deletion, not filtering, is what protects the material in your brief.

Payment Data

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. CiteCheck does not store credit card numbers or payment details.

How We Use Your Data

Your email is used to send you your reports and account information. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your documents to train AI models.

Security

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections. Documents are processed in isolated environments and deleted immediately after analysis.
